Retro Gimballed Ship's Compass – NC1615
Retro gimballed ship's compass equipped with a suspension system that ensures the correct horizontal position when the vessel is heeling. This type of magnetic compass is used in sailing. It ensures direction finding regardless of the boat's heel.
The compass housing is made of brass. The structure is attached to a wooden base. On both sides of the compass, there are elements (green and red) reminiscent of Kelvin balls (navigation balls), which compensate for magnetic field disturbances.
